I'm watching the Golden Globes right now. It always gets me kinda choked up to see people so happy to be acknowledged for their projects. We watched Million Dollar Baby last night, and Clint Eastwood and Morgan Freeman were really really good. It was a good movie; sometimes movies lose something when you wait to see it, after seeing so much press and hub-bub about it. But it was good, good enough for me to have a bit of a crush on Clint Eastwood now. Ha! I didn't expect that, let me tell you. Anyway, it's about time for Jack's dinner + insulin. More tomorrow.

Love,
Ruth

Dear Ruth,
I've had the tv on but missed the globes. Just used tv as background noise while sorting through 3 bins of old photos. I have thrown away enough to overflow the trash can by my chair, old art shots I am no longer going to use. Amazing what a little visual growth will do, and a new camera.
Whenever I think of the girl who played in million dollar, I think of her real life blood poisoning from blisters on her feet, and she didn't tell Clint until the health episode was over because she didn't want to disappoint him, but had she waited any longer she would have been dead.. Can't imagine working with so many blisters, but I guess she had gained lots of strength from growing up poor. I like her. Can't think of her name. I've always liked Clint E., too... what a hunk. What a face.
All this search and clear out because I wanted to send a card to Katie for her birthday tomorrow! All I have current are nasty pepper pictures, and I'm not sure whether she will laugh or feel weird. Alternate shot is one of dandelion fluff. Geez. What a choice. But I did think I could tie the dandelion in with " make a wish for your birthday". At heart, I am a very corny person.
But I do love you,
mom xoxoxo
I absolutely love today's picture. It is hauntingly lovely. You have a great eye, and a steady hand. And a very creative heart. What a woman.
Love,
mom
but what if I'm a woman with rabies?
Call your vet. I called our doctor after you were bitten by that mouse by the toolshed--remember the " pick it up by its tail " episode? I was worried about rabies. Doc said mice don't get rabies, and to not worry. Maybe Diane would know about pathogens on uncomposted bones? But I bet your vet would....
Love,
mom
