Dear Mom,
We are getting ready to go out to dinner at the sorta fancy Italian place in Wellsville with Dan and Corey. They even made reservations and got a babysitter for Claire, so it's a real, live double date! Hopefully they have food there I can eat. Today was snowy snowy, and I spent the day organizing things up in the Fiber Loft. Ron built me a bookcase a week or so ago, and I've been organizing yarn into ziploc bags so I can see what I've got. Doing pretty well. It's a cool fort-like space, up there in the warm peak of the roof, with the wind blowing outside and the furries keeping me company while they sleep.

Love,
Ruth

Dear Ruth,

Well, well! Going out 'ta Wellsville! Hope you have a great time and there will be enough non-dairy things to fill you up.

I started the cellar clean-out here yesterday or the day before. I've lost track of the days. It isn't bad, lots of running up and down the stairs ( which is good) and I am now very eager to get it finished. I look at an item and ask " will this make someone else happier than it makes me??" and the answer is almost always " YES!!", so there is now quite a pile to go to the swap shack. However, organizing canning jars into bins according to size is rather mind numbing. There were sooooo many jars!!! And when I went into the cold room to turn the light off, I found..... 3 more oversize boxes of canning jars. Well, I am no longer happy looking at them, so bzzzztt, off to the swap shack!

I am starting in the quadrant where you and Ron have your stuff tomorrow, and I am going to give you dedicated shelving---all your stuff in one spot--for ease of finding things next time you come. Just in case you need anything. Otherwise, once I get it located, it can stay there till the next time I do a clean-out blitz.

Oh, yeah, it snowed about 3 inches during the night. I haven't been paying too much attention to it this time, but will catch up on next storm.

I didn't have any furries keeping me company down cellar; your situation sounded ever so much better. I even took up all the mouse traps just in case. Where's Tuckie when I need him??---he could have carried stuff up the stairs on his back. I would have told him it was a game, and that I would count!

Love, mom
