Where do the days go? (Well, your day went cleaning, but mine sure didn't.) Isn't that funny how people clean to procrastinate? I know people who do that, but I don't think I've ever once done it. I can find PLENTY of other things that need to get done first. Although I am pretty good at throwing a load of laundry in, but I can assure you, it probably won't get folded right away. But at least stuff is clean.
I sent a box of jewelry to a store in Seattle today, so think good consumer thoughts for me. I've only been in that store for a couple months, and have sold almost everything I've given her, but now that Christmas is over it could be a different story for a while. This isn't normally the best time for selling jewelry. Anyway, it is always kind of painful to get the box of work organized, but then always feels really good once the forms are complete and the box is dropped off.
We are supposed to have guests at some point this weekend (Denise and her son Adam are in town). Guess I'll have to clean up my stuff after all.

Love,
Ruth
p.s. MOM! I just found a typo on Jeopardy! I didn't have the correct question, but I do know that Chairman Mao is not spelled Chariman Mao. That's a first!

Dear Ruth,
TUCKERRRRRR.... ( smiling and sending him a wrap around huggggg).
I've been taking a few photographs. If I get some fixed on exposure ( I forgot to take the white control out of daylight before shooting everything under incandescent. Pooo!) I'll send you a few, since they are of those little peppers growing inside the red peppers, that we saved while you were here. As I walked back and forth between studio and computer room, I was sooooo glad I had done the cleaning I set out to do today, so I could give myself a treat of taking photos.
Cleaning is winding down, all except the cellar---and my studio needs the xmas stuff put away so I can begin sewing those curtains. New bedding has come for guest room and ours, so tomorrow I think I will put the guest room to rights, and clean our room good, and then that pretty much does it for the upstairs. Everything I could do to procrastinate cleaning out the cellar will be done! Yikes....
I wondered who the guests were---the ones only coming if there were snow? Say hello to Denise and give her a big hug from me. I know you'll have a fine time visiting.
Today I gave dad his own basket of clean laundry to fold.... no more throwing everything together to wash---I separate mine from his, and then the folding job is up for grabs. Don't know why I didn't think of this years ago.
Do you remember how many miles our earth is from the sun? (answer at end ). Some days it feels further, but today was bright and cold and the workings of the universe seemed pretty constant.
Even the damned war in Iraq continues as a constant, in spite of millions of people wanting it to end... I think all those who send young people off to an unwinnable ( by fighting) war should be sent off toward the sun for time out. In those millions of miles there ought to be one spot designated as a pause zone. I think the fight would be knocked out of anyone who had to live in a space station for awhile, eat freeze-dried food, sleep tied up, and poop into a bag.
And it is 93 million miles to the sun.
Love, mom
Actually, Denise is coming in to town for a different reason, and we'll just see her quick while she's here. It's Jennifer Hall and her husband Mike who are planning on coming late February, but Mike only wanted to come if he could ski, etc.
Dear Ruth,
Wow! Dad watched jeopardy yesterday and never caught that.... good for you. Once a proofer, always a proofer!
love, mom
