Still cold here. So cold that towns near Buffalo are basically shutting down, and there is constant closure listings on our network television stations. Among all the expected closings, the Immaculate Conception schools and the Holy Blood schools, yesterday I saw one unexpected one. Head Start Rubby Butts. Hahahaha, who do you think sent that one in? Ben? Ben Dover?

Love,
Ruth

Dear Ruth,
Haahahahah. Ben Dover! Is he the guy going out with Candi Lickett?
Wasn't that the name of the Head Start program Ron taught at? Oh, wait... those kids were Ron's skin tags.
K and I are laughing here.
It wasn't as cold here today, it got up into the low 20's. However, the chickens were on the roost by 4pm and were darned glad that I came out early and closed their trap door, as it was causing a whoosy wind under their suspended butts.
Do wrap up well going to the studio, and don't lock your back door.
Sure wish we were in your place by the fire, knitting with you. K is busy twisting fringe ( she showed me how and it is easy but gives an effect as if it weren't) on the second stole she wove just before she came. I finished C's scarf and put fringe on it using the Method.
We both send lots of love,
mom
The picture is other worldly--- as if taken from a plane. Please identify. It is beautiful and cold and haunting.
Dear Mom,
I thought that would make you laugh.
That picture is just another shot of the snow dunes, but it's from a low vantage (sp?) point. The wind was rearranging all the squeeky flakes from one drift area to another, and those wave points would hold on as long as they could.
Love,
Ruth
