Dear Mom, These pictures would probably be more accurate if I went outside to take them, but I don't think I, or the camera, would work properly in this weather. Lucky for us we didn't get the 100 inches of snow, but it sure has been windy.
Love, Ruth

Dear Ruth,
Karen says thank you for your sweet thank you note about your birthday. She says she loves you, and is glad you didn't get 100 inches of snow, too, because you are too short to be walking around in 100 inches.
We are still having fun, and we have enjoyed every day of your blog---K wondered if the pictures were taken through the window. Not to worry, they come through great, so just continue to take them while your tootsies are on the heated floor. It is what all photographers with chilblains should do.
Your sunsets surely are breathtaking.
K and I are having dad take our picture together so we can send it to Billy for a valentine. So far we have taken about 50 and can't get one that makes us both look good at the same time, so tomorrow I am going to put makeup on to hopefully narrow the odds, and we are going to try again. K is going to try and keep her eyes open when the flash goes off, and I am not going to stand sideways when my hair is sticking up. My hair sticks up and my chin falls down. Guess I can't blame gravity for both.
It was windy and cold here today too. Gusty all day.
