Dear Mom,
100th post! I promise to get back on track with daily postings.
In that spirit, here's a tunic top I finished last week. Started on the race horse, finished on the mule. You can definitely see wonky parts when you look close, but something in me has changed and it's not a deal-breaker anymore. I'll still finish the project up and wear it, I just keep moving fast enough that people can't see where the stitching isn't straight. Do you recognise this material? We bought it when I was sewing in high school, and I have held on to it like it was especially valuable. It did take a couple days to deliberate in my head on the right project for it, but then I just dove in. All-in-all it fits pretty well, although it probably won't double as a dress as it's totally see-through.

Love,
Ruth

Dear Ruth,

I love it. I can't see the material quite good yet as I poked my eye this morning weeding tansy and it bled and dad raced me to doc. my eyes are dilated still and everything blurry. good news is my retina is ok, tho my cornea is scratched and the white has a little rip in it. everything should be ok in couple of days. antibiotic ointment. stings like crazy. dad has a weather headache, so both of us are in our chairs trying not to groan too much. i made ginger tea but poured it on the counter as i couldn't see that the strainer was upside down. dad was nice and wiped up the counter. he had to go dilute his tea anyway. he thought i had put pepper in it. no, i said, ginger has a natural bite to it. guess i made it a bit strong.

100 is a good round number! i've missed the recent posts so am very glad to have you back. tucker is posing again, isn't he. he will sit still just to have the slightest tickle done to his head!

that's about it for pinhole vision right now. more soon. I love the dress. the new fashions were invented for your figure. I can't wait till i can recognize the fabric.

love mom

Dear Mom,
That's really awful about your eye. I am concerned and kind of grossed out at the same time. I am glad to hear you'll be okay in a couple days.
I love you,
Ruth
