Dear Mom,
Progress on the Origami Cardi sleeve:

Bumpilicious.

Startitus progress. This is where I am on the dress after 1.5 balls. The yarn is a little on the scratchy side, but I think it'll be okay for the garment. The cool thing is you start on the bottom hem, so as you decrease, you pick up momentum. YAY.

More bumpiliciousness.

Guess I failed at bringing more color into my life.

Love,
Ruth

Dear Ruth,

I love them both, and the colors are yummy, like the colors of fall when the first flash of brighties are over and the oaks are lavender browns and plums in the misty mornings. You'll have them both finished before the gray days set in for good anyway.

I LOVE the dress patterning. Could you send that stitch design to me? Would it look nice as a baby blanket stitch? What does the wrong side look like? I suppose if it isn't reversible, it wouldn't do for a scarf or blanket. But I do love that stitch.

Keep up the good work. I can hardly wait to see them both finished!

Love, mom

I tell ya, Ruth, when a new blog comes up here I'm gonna fall out of my chair.

Umpteenth time checking in. Umpteenth time trying not to feel neglected ( I am very spoiled), but it is hard to not feel left out.... I'll bet even the garments are completed by now.

So send more pictures, ya doofus.

Actually, do you know I'm teasing? I know you've been busy. And of course, when an opportunity for a field trip happens, you go!

I'm off on one of my own right now, packed and ready and checking out for the Goodspeed and Nema and girls night out. Wish you were with us.

Are you having this spectacular cool sunny breezy white clouds in blue sky day too? Wowee... I love fall!

Lots of love, mom xoxoxo
