Dear Mom,
You might need to explore the possibilities of vermicomposting. My second batch of worms seems to be faring better than my first: all they're doing is getting chubby, humping, and laying eggs. Well, and making compost. They're going CRAZY, and I might be sending some home with you in a couple weeks.
Love,
Ruth

Dear ruth,
Even if I had your worms today, they wouldn't have been able to keep up with the apple pommace we had from pressing 13 1/2 GALLONS of cider.
The chickens got drunk on only one press bag full.
The 3 covered compost bins are topped off to capacity. I will have to find another spot to put them because we have as many apples to do tomorrow.
Dad and I are really into the cider pressing groove, and are really proud of ourselves!... and fresh cider mixed with ginger root tea gives that cider a kick without having to wait a minute for it to ferment~!
I want you to show me everything about the vermicomposting. I'm definitely interested, and am glad your second batch has worked better. I can hardly wait to have humping worms of my own.
Love, mom
