Dear Mom,
Tonight we cheated and ate sprouts before they were very big. Those broccolis weren't broccolis. They were the radishes. Man alive, were they radishes. So good! We had salads with baked tofu, and then talked about what other things those baby spicy radishes would be good on. Ron would like a tofu sandwich, and I would like them in ramen soup.

Thanks for our Christmas present. :)
Love,
Ruth
p.s. I just finished my Lake Effect scarf, so tomorrow I will weave in the ends and take pictures. Thanks for that yarnie Christmas present!

Dear Ruth,

I'm so glad the sprouter is working out, and most of all that both you and Ron like eating the results! It never works so well on food stuff if one's husband doesn't eat the stuff too.

I can't remember the pattern of the lake effect scarf. Can you jog my memory? Did we get the yarn at Webs or was it something you had started earlier?

I started the sweater for April's baby out of Love It that I got in Sturbridge. It is a cotton/acrylic. It isn't quite as soft as the cotton from Blue Sky Alpacas, but I'm hoping that it will be ok as I get more done. And it seems to be coming out slightly smaller, so I am doing a size 12 months, and paying attention so I won't do the front piece too short.

Rainy and slippery out, snow still everywhere, falling off the roof in big rumbles. I'm heading out to do chores now. Got a late start on the morning....

Love, mom xoxoxo
