Got your warning too late. We stayed up.
Having a great visit. We can just pick up where we left off, and keep a conversation going through all sorts of ramifications and sidebars. I always forget how good it is to talk without having to filter everything!!
She got in earlier than planned because she took another flight from SF and went through Chicago after all. She called from Hartford " where are you?" and I was sitting at the computer at ten of ten, following flight 100 to DC which is where the automated call told me her flight had been rerouted. I had never gotten one of those calls before, but C had left my number with the airlines, and they just didn't figure that Courtney would go and find her own flight out of SF.
Dad never stopped holding onto the hand grip above the car window the whole trip in.
C really wants to come see you, but I am a little afraid to leave dad alone now. We'll see how it goes once we catch up on our sleep...
