Dear Mom, I didn't want to explain with the photo--I wanted you to just get the effect, but that is down in the center of town where we were watching the Fourth of July fireworks. That day it had rained all day, and then the air was so still by the evening that as each firework exploded the smoke stayed and obscured the view. It ended up a blessing at the end of a very cranky unporductive day as a shot of spooky trees is much more interesting than fireworks, in my opinion. Love, Ruth

Imporductive is the nickword of unproductive. Even Zophia knows that. Anyone who spells Joseph J-U-V-X-Y-Z is very porductive with nickwords.
Did you figure out what your favorite nickcolor is? Not your favorite color, mind you, but your favorite nickcolor?
I am down to knitting the damn gansey without using anything but eyesight. I think I've been trying to learn on a nickchart.
I like your photo much better than fireworks, too. In fact, it is the quintessential shot of nickfireworks! Talk about clever!!!
